Case Study: Lotte Center Hanoi, Vietnam

Background:

Lotte Group is one of the top five groups from South Korea, is a world’s outstanding multinational enterprises with business including retail, food, travel, petrochemicals, real estate, finance and so on in nearly twenty countries in globalization strategy.

Completed in September 2014, Lotte Center Hanoi is a 65-floor skyscraper and landmark in Ba Dinh, Hanoi, Vietnam.

Lotte Center Hanoi, a multi-functional tower, includes offices, a 5-star hotel, a 6-floor Lotte Department Store, serviced residences, the Evian Spa, the Lotte Mart, restaurants and an observation deck.

The project reached a total investment of up to $400 million. The land area is 14,094 m2, the floor area is 247,075 m2, and is 267m high. There are 5 floors underground and 65 floors above. LOTTE MART supermarket is located in basement 1.

Floors 1 to 6 comprise Lotte Department Stores; floors 7 to 31 are offices for rent; floors 33 to64 consist of 233 apartment rooms and 300 hotel rooms.

Solution:

Gamatronic was called in to the scene to provide back up power for the building.

Gamatronic provided two sets of Power Plus 60kVA in parallel (120kVA) installed on the 31st floor for the data center and a Power Plus 80kVA UPS for CTTV application installed in the basement.
